Australia, known officially as the Commonwealth of Australia, is a sovereign country comprising the mainland of the Australian continent, the island of Tasmania, and numerous smaller islands. It is the largest country in Oceania and the world’s sixth-largest country by total area.
The Country has Australia consists of six states (New South Wales , Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia) and three internal territories (the Australian Capital Territory, the Jervis Bay Territory, and the Northern Territory) In this activity students will need to Identify States (and some territories) and colour them in.
This is a great geographical activity for your classroom or homeschool setting.
